Kapatiran - Philippines Solidarity Magazine Now Online
The most recent issue of the Philippines Solidarity Network of Aotearoa (PSNA) newsletter, Kapatiran (Solidarity) is finally online. It contains an overview of important developments in the struggle for economic and social justice in the Philippines over the past year, the social and environmental destruction being waged by the mining multinational OCEANAGOLD, a report about Amirah Ali Lidasan, a Mindanao peace activist's tour of NZ, an analysis of US Military's dodgy covert presence in the Philippines and much more.
Sadly not long after the hard copy of this issue of Kapatiran was published, legendary Filippino trade unionist and former political prisoner, Ka Bel, died after falling from his home's roof while conducting repairs. [Death of Ka Bel Mourned Around the World]
