fascinating, tell us more about all this "peoples democracy" in North Korea.

You've got to be fucking kidding

Please give us a break! That's all Indymedia, as well as the rest of the world needs are a bunch of robotic sycophants praising yet another dictator who prefers to starve his people while he and his small cadres of buddies enjoys a life of luxury.

Re: Message on the occasion of the 60th founding anniversary of

All mockery of Kim Jong Il aside, I find it very troubling that certain groups feel the need to support any leader and government just so long as it is anti-U.S. and anti-imperialist. This is more or less the same type of thinking employed by Bush and the neocons. Why is it that North Koreans are 5 inches shorter on average than South Koreans? Why do they flee in large numbers to South Korea and China? Why do people who visit North Korea get followed wherever they go and have their cameras and film examined before they can leave?

"Why is it that North Koreans are 5 inches shorter on average than South Koreans?"

Where on earth did you get that statistic from?

Re: Message on the occasion of the 60th founding anniversary of

I'm not sure where he or she got his/her statistics but this is another one from http://www.nationmaster.com/

$1,328.21 - GDP per capita - North Korea
$16,387.64 - GDP per capita - South Korea
